How to extend the wear of your wefts and keep your blonde looking fresh? 📍Here’s my pro tip.

When roots grow out and start creating a harsh contrast with your blonde extensions, it doesn’t always mean it’s time for a full reinstall. In this case, I did a weft move-up first — 👉and then I toned the base of the wefts using a transitional shade.

This in-between color helps blend the extensions with the darker roots without making the blonde too dark.
The goal is to keep the overall look light and natural — and the client still feels like a true blonde, just refreshed.

Coloring the base of the wefts is a subtle but powerful solution that bridges the gap between appointments and keeps your hair looking seamless.

✨She struggled to grow her hair. Every time she tried, the bleached ends would break off, and her natural hair, being black, made it even harder for her to stay blonde.
🌟 She wanted to remain a blonde, but her hair simply wouldn’t grow past a certain length.

She came to me with large, bulky bonds tied with rubber bands. These caused two major issues:

1 - first, they added too much weight and tension to her natural hair, and
2 - second, they didn’t allow for an even distribution of blonde across her head.
✔️The result looked unnatural—chunky and uneven, with obvious sections of blonde and dark hair.

I removed the heavy extensions and replaced them with standard-sized and micro keratin bonds.
The standard ones were used where needed for length,

First, I prepare the ponytail by laying it on a carding board and sorting the strands by length. Shorter strands are removed, and only the longest ones are kept for the client.

This process means about 30% of the hair is lost, so what’s left from the ponytail is much less than what we started with!
